Please contact the Aldermen's Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Saville called the meeting to order at 4:10pm. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Mike Saville, Vice Chair Patty Smith, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman-At-Large Sherman Jenkins and Alderman-At-Large Ron Woerman OTHERS PRESENT Todd Roberts City of Aurora: Denzel Lee, IT; Ed Sieben, Planning and Zoning; Tracy Vacek, Planning and Zoning; Steve Broadwell, Planning and Zoning; Kathy McCabe, Aldermen's Office; Shelly Windett, Aldermen's Office; Rich Jacobs, Aldermen's Office; Marissa Spencer, Legal; Alex Alexandrou, Mayor's Office; Rick Veenstra, Legal APPROVAL OF MINUTES 21-0446 Approval of the meeting minutes from the BZE Committee meeting held on June 9, 2021. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 City of Aurora Page 1 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final June 23, 2021 Development Committee PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA 21-0337 An Ordinance Amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by Modifying the Zoning Map Attached Thereto by Rezoning the Property Located at 632 South Ohio Street from B-3, Business and Wholesale District to R-2, One Family Dwelling District A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderman-At-Large Woerman, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 21-0362 An Ordinance approving a Plan Description Revision to the Conditional Use Planned Development, to change the underlying zoning district for a portion of the property from R-1(C) One family Dwelling District to O(C) Office District located west of Hankes Road, south of Galena Boulevard, east of Blackberry Creek, and north of Raven . A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Alderman Jenkins arrived at 4:13pm. Ayes: 5 21-0364 A Resolution Approving the Final Plat for the property located at 2600 West Galena Boulevard A motion was made by Alderman-At-Large Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0365 A Resolution approving a Final Plan for the property located at 2600 West Galena Boulevard for an Animal Hospital (2720) Use A motion was made by Alderman-At-Large Jenkins, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 INFORMATION ONLY City of Aurora Page 2 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final June 23, 2021 Development Committee 21-0441 This Ordinance was discussed as information only CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman-At-Large Jenkins, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Saville adjourned the meeting at 4:33pm.
