Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairman Saville called the meeting to order 4:04pm. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Mike Saville, Vice Chair Patty Smith, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Sherman Jenkins and Alderman Ron Woerman APPROVAL OF MINUTES 22-0153 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning and Economic Development Committee meeting held on February 23, 2022 . A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT Birnie Harper spoke in opposition of item 22-0045 BUILDING, ZONING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT RESOLUTIONS City of Aurora Page 1 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final March 9, 2022 Development Committee 21-0949 A Resolution Approving the Final Plat for Redwood of Aurora Subdivision, on vacant land located north of W. Indian Trail and east of N. Randall Road A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0950 A Resolution Approving a Final Plan on Lot 1 and Lot 2 of Redwood of Aurora Subdivision, located north of W. Indian Trail and east of N. Randall Road for a ROW Dwelling (Party Wall) (1130) A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 5 22-0041 A Resolution approving a Final Plan on the property located at 2440 S. Eola Road for an ice cream Restaurant with a Drive-Through Facility Use (2530) A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 5 22-0118 A Resolution approving a revision to the Final Plan for a parking lot expansion for the property located at 2731 Beverly Drive A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 5 22-0150 A Resolution Approving the Final Plat for Lot 1 of North River Subdivision located at 2-12 N. River Street A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Broadway A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairman Saville adjourned the meeting at 5:15pm.
