Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Saville called the meeting to order at 4:04pm. ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Chairperson Mike Saville, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Sherman Jenkins and Alderman Ron Woerman Absent: 1 - Vice Chair Patty Smith APPROVAL OF MINUTES 22-0307 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning and Economic Development Committee meeting held on April 13, 2022 . A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final April 27, 2022 Development Committee 22-0174 An Ordinance Establishing a Conditional Use Planned Development, Approving the Atlantic Residential Plan Description and amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to an underlying zoning of R-5A Midrise Multiple-Family Dwelling District for the property located on the north side Fox Valley Mall, south of New York Street and west of Route 59 A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0175 A Resolution Approving a Preliminary Plan for a portion of Lot 1A1, Lot 2A1 and all of Lot 4A1 of The Third Resubdivision of Fox Valley East Region 1 Unit No. 1, on property located on the north side of Fox Valley Mall, south of New York Street and west of Route 59 A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0173 A Resolution Approving a Revision to the Final Plat to establish the Third Resubdivision of Fox Valley East Region I Unit No. 1 A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0223 An Ordinance Establishing a Conditional Use Planned Development, Approving the Liberty Meadows Plan Description and amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to an underlying zoning of R-4A Two-Family Dwelling District and OS-1 Conservation, Open Space, and Drainage District for the property located at the southern end of Wolverine Drive A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 22-0224 A Resolution Approving a Revision to the Preliminary Plan and Plat for Lot 2 of Liberty Street Business Park Subdivision, located at the southern end of Wolverine Drive, and establishing Lots 1-21 of Liberty Meadows Subdivision A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 City of Aurora Page 2 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final April 27, 2022 Development Committee 22-0356 A Resolution authorizing the consent of the City to the mortgage of the leasehold interest of Suburban Properties, Inc. at the Aurora Municipal Airport. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Jenkins, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 BUILDING, ZONING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT RESOLUTIONS 22-0097 A Resolution Approving a Revision to the Final Plan on Lot 1 of Savannah Crossings Subdivision, located at 2900 Kirk Road, for the expansion of a Retail sales or service (2100) Use A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 4 CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Saville adjourned the meeting at 5:16pm.
