Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Saville called the meeting to order at 4:01pm. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Mike Saville, Vice Chair Patty Smith, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Sherman Jenkins and Alderman Ron Woerman APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-0304 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning and Economic Development Committee meeting held on April 12, 2023 . A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA 23-0248 An Ordinance Annexing Property located at 1299 Mitchell Road to the City of Aurora, Illinois 60505 A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. City of Aurora Page 1 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final April 26, 2023 Development Committee Ayes: 5 23-0249 An Ordinance Establishing a Conditional Use Planned Development, Approving the W.E. Mundy Landscaping Plan Description and amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, Illinois by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to an underlying zoning of B-3 Business and Wholesale District for the property located at 1299 Mitchell Road A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0326 An Ordinance Vacating a Portion of Dedicated Public Right-of-Way for Duke Parkway, on the Property Located at 2810 Duke Parkway, in DuPage County, Aurora, Illinois, 60502 . A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0214 A Resolution Approving the Final Plat for Pacifica Riverview Subdivision on property located at 309 N. River Street and 201 N. River Street A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0215 A Resolution Approving a Final Plan on Lot 1 of Pacifica Riverview Subdivision with certain modifications to building code amendments located at 309 N. River Street and 201 N. River Street A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0325 A Resolution Accepting the Dedication of Right-of-Way for Duke Parkway, Located at 2810 Duke Parkway . A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 BUILDING, ZONING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT RESOLUTIONS City of Aurora Page 2 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final April 26, 2023 Development Committee 23-0197 A Resolution Approving a Final Plan on Lot 2A, Butterfield East, Unit 1 Resubdivision, Located at 2810 Duke Parkway, for a Business and Professional, Office (2400) Use and a Warehouse, Distribution and Storage Services. A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Vice Chair Smith, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 5 HELD 23-0171 An Ordinance Amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinance, City of Aurora, by Modifying the Zoning Map Attached thereto to Rezone Property located near the Northeast Corner of North Farnsworth Avenue and Mountain Street from R-1, One Family Dwelling District, to M-1, Manufacturing District - Limited. CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Vice Chair Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Saville adjourned the meeting 5:07pm.
