CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Smith called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Patty Smith, Vice Chair Shweta Baid, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Mike Saville and Alderman Bill Donnell APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-0431 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning and Economic Development Committee meeting held on May 24, 2023. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final June 14, 2023 Development Committee 23-0440 An Ordinance Establishing a Conditional Use Planned Development, Approving the Hollywood Casino Plan Description and amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto from B-3 Business and Wholesale District and M-1 Manufacturing - Limited District to B-3(C) Business and Wholesale District with a Conditional Use Planned Development for the property located at West side of Farnsworth Avenue, between Bilter Road and Corporate Boulevard A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be recommended for approval Ayes: 5 23-0441 A Resolution Approving a Preliminary Plan and Plat for HC Aurora Subdivision located on the west side of Farnsworth Avenue, between Bilter Road and Corporate Boulevard A motion was made by Alderman Saville seconded by Alderman Franco that this agenda item be recommended for approval amended as follows: 1) That prior to construction of any improvements on the adjacent properties, the Petitioner shall provide a recorded copy of the easement to the City allowing the proposed drive aisle and signage. 2) That prior to occupancy permit, the Petitioner shall provide a recorded copy of all vacations for any private easements between the owner and other utilities. Ayes: 5 HELD 23-0171 An Ordinance Amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinance, City of Aurora, by Modifying the Zoning Map Attached thereto to Rezone Property located near the Northeast Corner of North Farnsworth Avenue and Mountain Street from R-1, One Family Dwelling District, to M-1, Manufacturing District - Limited. This Ordinance was held CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Alderman Saville, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried.
