Downer Place Aurora, IL 60507 Building, Zoning, and Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes - Final Wednesday October 11, 2023 4:00 PM Chairperson Patty Smith Vice Chair Shweta Baid Alderman Carl Franco Alderman Mike Saville Alderman Bill Donnell Members of the public wishing to provide public comment for this meeting must be physically present at the meeting and registered to speak prior to the meeting being called to order. Please contact the Aldermen’s office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Smith called the meeting to order at 4:00pm. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Patty Smith, Vice Chair Shweta Baid, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Mike Saville and Alderman Bill Donnell APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-0793 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning and Economic Development Committee meeting held on September 27, 2023 . A motion was made by Alderman Saville, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final October 11, 2023 Development Committee 23-0175 An Ordinance authorizing Execution of and Establishing the Costs of Recapture for a portion of the Sanitary Sewer Improvements located east of Eola Road and South of Diehl Road A motion was made by Vice Chair Baid, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0798 An Ordinance Authorizing Execution of and Establishing the Costs for the Scientel Solutions, LLC Recapture Agreement for the Upsizing of Watermain and Roadway Improvements located east of Eola Road and South of Diehl Road A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0752 An Ordinance Authorizing the Execution of a New Lease of Real Estate Agreement between the City of Aurora and T D Hangar, LLC for Lease of Real Estate at the Aurora Municipal Airport. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-0773 An Ordinance Prohibiting the Use of Groundwater as a Potable Water Supply by the Installation or Use of Potable Water Supply Wells or By Any Other Method This Ordinance was tabled BUILDING, ZONING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT RESOLUTIONS 23-0776 A Resolution Approving the Final Plat for HC Aurora Subdivision located on the west side of Farnsworth Avenue, between Bilter Road and Corporate Boulevard A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 5 City of Aurora Page 2 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final October 11, 2023 Development Committee 23-0777 A Resolution Approving a Final Plan on Lot 1 of HC Aurora Subdivision, located at West side of Farnsworth Avenue, between Bilter Road and Corporate Boulevard A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PENDING PENDING GRADE- ALL CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Baid, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Smith adjourned the meeting at 4:32pm.
