Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairwoman Smith called the meeting to order at 4:00pm. A motion was made by Alderman Donnell and seconded by Alderman Franco to allow Alderman Saville to participate in this meeting remotely. The motion carried by voice vote and Alderman Saville participated in this meeting remotely. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Patty Smith, Vice Chair Shweta Baid, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Mike Saville and Alderman Bill Donnell APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-1031 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning and Economic Development Committee meeting held on December 13, 2023 . A motion was made by Vice Chair Baid, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT City of Aurora Page 1 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final January 10, 2024 Development Committee AGENDA 23-1034 An Ordinance Providing for the Execution of an Annexation Agreement with the Owners of Record Providing for R-2(C) One Family Dwelling District, R-4A(C) Two-Family Dwelling District, B-2(C) General Retail District, and OS-1 (C) Conservation, Open Space And Drainage District with a Conditional Use zoning for the territory which may be Annexed to the City of Aurora located at the southeast corner of Ogden Avenue and Farnsworth Avenue on Vacant Land in Kendall and Kane County, Aurora Illinois 60503 and 60504 A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-1035 An Ordinance Annexing Certain Property being Vacant Land located at the southeast corner of Ogden Avenue and Farnsworth Avenue to the City of Aurora, Kendall County, Illinois 60503, pursuant to an Approved Annexation Agreement A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-1036 An Ordinance Annexing Certain Property being Vacant Land located at the southeast corner of Ogden Avenue and Farnsworth Avenue to the City of Aurora, Kane County, Illinois 60504, pursuant to an Approved Annexation Agreement A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 23-1037 An Ordinance Establishing a Conditional Use Planned Development, Approving the Wheatland Crossing Plan Description and amending Chapter 49 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, by modifying the zoning map attached thereto to an underlying zoning of R-2 One Family Dwelling District, R-4A Two-Family Dwelling District, B-2 General Retail District, and OS-1 Conservation, Open Space And Drainage District for the property located at the southeast corner of Ogden Avenue and Farnsworth Avenue. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 City of Aurora Page 2 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final January 10, 2024 Development Committee 23-1038 A Resolution Approving a Preliminary Plan and Plat for Lots 1-110 of Wheatland Crossing Subdivision, on vacant land located at the southeast corner of Ogden Avenue and Farnsworth Avenue A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Vice Chair Baid, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairwoman Smith adjourned the meeting at 4:58pm.
