Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Smith called the meeting to order at 4:02 pm. ROLL CALL Alderman Saville stepped out from 5:11 pm and returned at 5:14 pm. Present: 5 - Chairperson Patty Smith, Vice Chair Shweta Baid, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Mike Saville and Alderman Bill Donnell APPROVAL OF MINUTES 24-0728 Approval of the minutes from the Building, Zoning and Economic Development Committee meeting held on September 25, 2024 . A motion was made by Vice Chair Baid, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT Ms. Janine Keating spoke against items 24-0708 and 24-0709. Mr. Michael Keating spoke against items 24-0708 and 24-0709. Mr. Dan Peterson spoke on assistance for historical homes. Bharik Shah spoke against items 24-0708 and 24-0709. Sapana Shah spoke against items 24-0708 and 24-0709. Ayes: 5 24-0709 A Resolution Approving a Preliminary Plat and Plan for Eola Preserve Subdivision, Located at 620 North Eola Road. Steve Broadwell & Ed Sieben with Planning and Zoning - City of Aurora, Kevin Anderson & Brian Witkowski with Public Works - City of Aurora, Caitlin Csuk with Rosanova & Whitaker, Ltd. and Dan Brinkman with Gewalt Hamilton Associates presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0738 An Ordinance Vacating a Stormwater Control Easement and City Easement on the Property located at South of Wolf's Crossing and east Eola Road, in Will County, Aurora, Illinois Tracey Vacek with Planning & Zoning - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 BUILDING, ZONING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT RESOLUTIONS City of Aurora Page 2 Building, Zoning, and Economic Meeting Minutes - Final October 9, 2024 Development Committee 24-0704 A Resolution approving a revision to the Final Plat for Lots 1, 4 and 6 of West Aurora Plaza Resubdivision Subdivision, located at 1901-1989 West Galena Boulevard and establishing Lot 10-15 of West Aurora Plaza Resubdivision Subdivision, No. 2 . Emma Field, Planning & Zoning - City of Aurora and Judd Lofchie with Judd Lofchie & Associates, presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be forwarded to the Committee of the Whole (Final/Appealable). The motion carried. Ayes: 5 CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Vice Chair Baid, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Smith adjourned the meeting at 5:21pm.
