A motion was made by Alderman Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderman Franco, to approve the minutes. A motion was made by Alderman Mervine, seconded by Alderman Saville to approve and file the minutes as presented. The motion carried by voice vote with an abstention by Alderman Hart-Burns. This Proclamation was discussed and filed MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS 17-00826 A Resolution Reappointing Joe Toma, James Butler and Lisa Garcia and Appointing Larry Eichelberger and Celia Rodriguez to the Aurora Veterans Advisory Council. A motion was made by Alderman Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderman Franco, to approve the appointments as presented. The motion carried. David Silverman, Juan Vazquez, Kevin Desharnais were present but declined to comment. They were present to answer questions. Regarding non-agenda items: Dave Sinker, The Comedy Shrine, regarding video gaming terminal licenses. Prasanna Rajagopalan, Homeowners Association in Lehigh Station, regarding the new badminton facility proposed for the area. Enactment No: R17-373 17-01003 A Resolution Authorization the Purchase of Bulk Rock Salt in the Amount of $48.56 Per Ton for the 2017-2018 Winter Season This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R17-375 17-01036 A Resolution Intergovernmental agreement for grant funds allocation between the City of Aurora and the City of Naperville. . This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R17-376 17-01044 A Resolution establishing the maximum number of Class G City of Aurora liquor licenses ( unofficially related to application from: Aldi, Inc. dba Aldi located at 2275 W. Galena Boulevard, Aurora, IL) . This Resolution was approved. Enactment No: R17-377 NEW BUSINESS A motion was made by Alderman Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderman Saville, that the Council Suspend the Rules to consider New Business on the agenda. The motion carried. The motion carried by voice vote. For items 17-00519, 17-00520 and 17-00521 a motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Bugg to suspend Section 2-105(c) of the City Code pursuant to Section 2-96 in order to entertain motions to reconsider said items. The motion carried. A motion was made by Alderman O'Connor, seconded by Alderman Mervine to amend the previous motion to postpone consideration until January 9, 2018. The motion carried.
