Bruce Goldsmith, attorney for World Class Wireless spoke regarding the project history and current intentions of his client for the property. Alderman Mervine spoke regarding the reasons he was not in favor of the proposal. Alderman Lofchie, Alderman Franco, and Alderman Donnell all spoke in favor of the item. A motion was made by Alderman Jenkins, seconded by Alderman Garza, that this agenda item be approved. The motion carried by the following vote. A motion was made by Alderman O'Connor to open the public hearing regarding the 2018 Proposed Budget. The motion carried by a voice vote. Dan Miller, Chair of the Aurora Preservation Commission, spoke in favor of the budget specifically related to the presence of funds available for preservation efforts. There being no further speakers. A motion was made by Alderman Mervine, seconded by Alderman Franco to close the public hearing. The motion carried by voice vote. Aldermen O'Connor and Mervine spoke regarding being in favor of the budget and thanked the efforts of the staff in preparation of the budget. Alderman Lofchie voiced concerns regarding the budget and stressed wanting to reduce costs. However, he stated he was in favor of the budget. A motion was made by Alderman O'Connor, seconded by Alderman Garza, that this agenda item be adopted. The motion carried by the following vote.
