ROLL CALL Members present: Timothy Brown, Ginger Ingram, Andrea McMillian, Curtis Wilson (4). Members absent: Kim Bright, Rajesh Char (2). OTHERS PRESENT Others present: Elana Newkirk; Advisory Commission on Disabilities, Adam Pauley; Aurora LGBTQ Advisory Board, Paulene Spika; Aurora LGBTQ Advisory Board, and Nydia Molina, Assistant Corporation Counsel. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-0849 Approval of the Minutes of the Thursday, September 21, 2023, Civilian Review Board Meeting. Vice Chair Brown made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Member McMillian. The motion was carried by a roll vote as follows: Ayes: 4 - Timothy Brown, Ginger Ingram, Andrea McMillian, Curtis Wilson. Nayes: 0. Absent: 2 - Kim Bright, Rajesh Char. PUBLIC COMMENT None. PRESENTATION / GUEST SPEAKER Elana Newkirk; Advisory Commission on Disabilities and Adam Pauley; Aurora LGBTQ Advisory Board briefly presented UNFINISHED BUSINESS 22-1033 Review and Approval of Closed Session Meeting Minutes Member McMillian made a motion to hold over this agenda item for November's meeting, seconded by Member Ingram. ANNOUNCEMENTS Chair Wilson suggested a way for the Board to engage with each other through educational articles, published data, latest trends, etc. emailed throughout the month. CLOSED SESSION Consideration and Adoption of the Board's Recommendations to the Chief of Police Regarding Pending Civilian Complaints None. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Vice Chair Brown, seconded by Member McMillian to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried by voice vote.
