ROLL CALL Members present: Christopher Bennett, Timothy Brown, Ginger Ingram, Renu Kanakamma, Curtis Wilson (5). Members absent: Dawn D'Orazio (1). OTHERS PRESENT Others present: Two members of the public. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 26-0176 Approval of the Minutes of the Thursday, February 19, 2026, Civilian Review Board Meeting. Member Bennett made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Vice Chair Brown. The motion was carried by voice vote. PUBLIC COMMENT One member of the public was present and addressed the Civilian Review Board. Ash Draighean received three minutes to address the board. PRESENTATION / GUEST SPEAKER None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 25-0160 A review of Aurora Police Department policies in accordance with the CRB ordinance for the CRB to provide written recommendations to the department. Chair Wilson read and discussed Policy 401 with the board. Vice Chair Brown made a motion to close the discussion on Policy 401, seconded by Member Bennett. The motion was carried by a roll vote as follows: Ayes: 5 - Christopher Bennett, Timothy Brown, Ginger Ingram, Renu Kanakamma, Curtis Wilson. NEW BUSINESS 26-0177 Community Data and Data Analysis Vice Chair Brown presented to the board what information the CRB is entitled to and the various points to receive the data and analysis. 26-0178 Messaging Content for CRB Presentation and Printed Materials Member Ingram presented to the board the presentation slides that she and Member D'Orazio worked on in regards to the messaging content for the CRB presentation and printed materials. ANNOUNCEMENTS Vice Chair Brown announced that Ward 8 is having a meeting on April 22, 2026 at 6 p.m. at the Eola Center. Member Ingram announced the Aurora Lions Club is hosting a 'Spring Fling' Pancake Breakfast taking place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Member Bennett announced that the National Night Out applications are live on the city website and the deadline to apply is April 30, 2026. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Member Bennett, seconded by Member Kanakamma to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried by voice vote.
