Irvin, for Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the City Hall, 44 E. Downer Place, 5th Floor Conference Room B, Aurora, Illinois at 5:00 P.M.. ROLL CALL Mayor Irvin called the Committee of the Whole to order at 5:08 P.M. and the roll was called. Alderman Garza was present by telephone. Present 13 - Alderman Emmanuel Llamas, Alderman Juany Garza, Alderman Ted Mesiacos, Alderman Bill Donnell, Alderman Carl Franco, Alderman Mike Saville, Alderman Scheketa Hart-Burns , Alderman Patty Smith, Alderman Edward Bugg, Alderman Judd Lofchie, Alderman Sherman Jenkins, Alderman Bob O'Connor, and Mayor Richard Irvin PUBLIC COMMENT There were no members of the public desiring to address the City Council. REPORT OF THE SPECIAL ORDINANCE COMMITTEE TO THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE 19-0138 An Ordinance revising Chapter 2, Article II, Division 5 of the Code of the City of Aurora pertaining to the number, composition, jurisdiction and procedures of the committees of the City Council . Rick Veenstra, Corporation Counsel, provided information regarding the proposed committee structure. There were three amendments proposed by members of the City Council to the proposed structure. It was agreed to move the amendments for discussion and vote at the City Council meeting to occur immediately following the Committee of the Whole. Deb Lang, Assistant Corporation Counsel and Gio Santana, Superintendant of Parks, provided an overview of the changes to the ordinance. (PLACED ON CONSENT AGENDA) Enactment No: O19-028 MAYOR’S REPORT There was no Mayor's Report CLOSED SESSION There was no need for a Closed Session. ADJOURN A motion was made by Alderman Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderman Franco to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried. This meeting was adjourned at 5:58 P.M.
