ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Chairperson Carl Franco, Vice Chair Edward Bugg, Alderwoman Shweta Baid and Alderman Ron Woerman APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-0437 Approval of the minutes from the Finance Committee meeting held on May 25, 2023. A motion was made by Alderman Woerman, seconded by Alderwoman Baid, that the minutes be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 PUBLIC COMMENT None AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final June 15, 2023 23-0472 A Resolution to Execute a Memorandum of Understanding with The Boys and Girls Club of Aurora for a possible land donation adjacent to Garfield Park. Presented by Alex Alexandrou, Mayor's Office and Larry Henderson, Boys & Girls Club. A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Vice Chair Bugg, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Alderman Woerman recused himself from the meeting at 4:01 p.m. and returned at 4:30 p.m. Ayes: 3 Abstain: 1 23-0447 An Ordinance amending Section 48-57 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, effective July 1, 2023, and establishing the utility rates for water and sewer services provided within the City thereafter Presented by Chris Minick, Finance Dept. A motion was made by Vice Chair Bugg, seconded by Alderman Woerman, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 23-0468 An Ordinance Amending The Annual Budget For The Fiscal Year Beginning January 1, 2022 and Ending December 31, 2022 (Amendment #2 For The 2022 Fiscal Year). Presented by Stacey Peterson, Budget Dept. A motion was made by Vice Chair Bugg, seconded by Alderwoman Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 23-0374 A Resolution authorizing a two-year Project Management Professional Services agreement with Crowe LLP, 225 W Wacker Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60606 (“Crowe”) in an amount of $392 ,000. Presented by Jeff Anderson, IT. A motion was made by Vice Chair Bugg, seconded by Alderwoman Baid, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Vice Chair Bugg, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 23-0458 A Resolution authorizing the City to accept a grant award of $294,657.51 from the US Department of Justice COPS Office to enhance the Aurora Police Department Crisis Intervention Unit . Presented by Lt. Bill Rowley, Aurora Police Department. A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Vice Chair Bugg, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 23-0466 A Resolution authorizing the execution of a property purchase and sales contract for property at 101 N Lake and 102 N. River Street, Aurora, IL . Presented by Alex Minnela, Economic Development. A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Vice Chair Bugg, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried.
