ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Scheketa Hart-Burns, Vice Chair Bill Donnell, Alderwoman Juany Garza, Alderman Ted Mesiacos and Alderman Mike Saville APPROVAL OF MINUTES 21-0535 Approval of the minutes from the Public Health, Safety, and Transportation Committee meeting held on July 13, 2021. A motion was made by Alderman Saville, seconded by Alderman Mesiacos, that these minutes be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 Abstain: 1 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Public Health, Safety, and Meeting Minutes - Final July 27, 2021 Transportation Committee 21-0517 A Resolution to purchase new self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) from Municipal Emergency Services of Deer Creek, IL, at a cost of $1,046,835.00. A motion was made by Alderman Saville, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0540 Special Events Report Out July and August 2021 This Reports/Studies was discussed and filed 21-0572 Charitable Solicitation Application for Knights of Columbus (St. Joseph) Tootsie Roll fundraiser for local charities on September 3, 2021 thru September 4, 2021 and September 10, 2021 thru September 11, 2021. This Information/Discussion Only was forwarded as information only CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this meeting be adjourned.
