ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Scheketa Hart-Burns, Vice Chair Bill Donnell, Alderwoman Juany Garza, Alderman Ted Mesiacos and Alderman Mike Saville APPROVAL OF MINUTES 21-0685 Approval of the minutes from the Public Health, Safety, and Transportation Committee meeting held August 24,2021. A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Alderman Mesiacos, that these meeting minutes be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Public Health, Safety, and Meeting Minutes - Final September 14, 2021 Transportation Committee 21-0641 A Resolution establishing the maximum number of Class A: Package Sales liquor licenses (unofficially related to the application from Ruby Liquors, Inc., d/b/a Ruby's Liquor at 1535 Butterfield Rd., Unit #101-105, Aurora). [Ward 1] A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Alderman Saville, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0693 A Resolution establishing the maximum number of Class A: Package Sales liquor licenses (unofficially related to the application from GB License, LLC, d/b/a goPuff at 340 Marshall Ave., Aurora). [Ward 4] A motion was made by Alderman Saville, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0684 Charitable Solicitation Application for Knights of Columbus Council 736 Annual Tootsie Roll Drive on September 17, 2021 thru September 18, 2021. This Information/Discussion Only was discussed and filed 21-0689 Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana Fall Product Program from September 24, 2021 to October 20, 2021 and Door-to-Door cookie sales December 15, 2021 to January 17, 2022 . This Information/Discussion Only was discussed and filed 21-0703 Information to the committee about a fire station location study to be performed for the City of Aurora, IL, and the Aurora Fire Department . This Information/Discussion Only was discussed 21-0706 Update on upcoming proposed revisions to the ordinances governing fireworks. This Reports/Studies was discussed CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Alderman Saville, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried.
