Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Vice Chair Bill Donnell called the meeting to order at 4:04 pm. ROLL CALL A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza seconded by Alderman Mesiacos to authorize Alderwoman Hart-Burns to participate remotely in this Public Health, Safety, and Transportation Committee meeting per section 2-80 of the Code of Ordinances. The motion carried by roll call vote, and Alderwoman Hart-Burns participated in this meeting remotely via Zoom teleconference. Present: 5 - Chairperson Scheketa Hart-Burns, Vice Chair Bill Donnell, Alderwoman Juany Garza, Alderman Ted Mesiacos and Alderman Mike Saville APPROVAL OF MINUTES 22-0152 Approval of the minutes from the Public, Health, Safety and Transportation Committee meeting held February 22, 2022. A motion was made by Chairperson Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that these meeting minutes be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT City of Aurora Page 1 Public Health, Safety, and Meeting Minutes - Final March 8, 2022 Transportation Committee AGENDA 22-0144 A Resolution awarding Anthem Excavation & Demolition Inc Aurora, IL as the 2022 contractor with a possible 1-year extension for Junk and Trash abatement services within the City of Aurora Illinois . A motion was made by Chairperson Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 22-0168 A Resolution authorizing the Director of Purchasing to enter into an agreement with M/M Peters Construction, Inc., Aurora, IL in the amount of $57,421.60 for the replacement of concrete at Aurora Fire Department Station 3 North apron. A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Alderman Mesiacos, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 22-0068 Community Events report-out for events that have been submitted thus far. This Information/Discussion Only was forwarded as information only 22-0156 A Resolution establishing the maximum number of Class D: Downtown Core On-Site Consumption liquor licenses (unofficially related to the application from Craft Urban Aurora, LLC d/b/a Craft Urban Aurora at 41 S. Stolp Ave.). [Ward 6] A motion was made by Chairperson Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Chairperson Hart-Burns, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried.
