ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Mike Saville, Vice Chair Bill Donnell, Alderman John Laesch, Alderman Ted Mesiacos and Alderwoman Juany Garza APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-1032 Approval of the minutes from the Public Health, Safety and Transportation Committee meeting held on December 12, 2023 . A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Vice Chair Donnell, that the minutes be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Public Health, Safety, and Meeting Minutes - Final January 23, 2024 Transportation Committee 24-0002 A Resolution Approving the 2024 Quality of Life Grants in the amount of $1,017,000 Chris Ragona and Viviana Ramirez, Community Development - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions regarding this item. Alderwoman Garza recused herself from this item. Alderwoman Garza stepped out at 4:17pm. A motion was made by Alderman Laesch, seconded by Vice Chair Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 24-0003 A Resolution Authorizing Approval of the 2024 Annual Action Plan and Annual Action Plan Substantial Amendment 2023-#3 Funding Recommendations. Chris Ragona and Viviana Ramirez, Community Development - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions regarding this item. Alderwoman Garza recused herself from this item. Alderwoman Garza stepped out at 4:17pm. A motion was made by Alderman Laesch, seconded by Vice Chair Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT Alderwoman Garza returned at 4:57pm. A motion was made by Alderman Laesch, seconded by Alderman Mesiacos, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried.
