ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Chairperson Mike Saville, Vice Chair Bill Donnell, Alderwoman Juany Garza and Alderman Ted Mesiacos Absent: 1 - Alderman John Laesch APPROVAL OF MINUTES 24-0274 Approval of the minutes from the Public Health, Safety and Transportation Committee Meeting held on April 9, 2024. A motion was made by Alderman Mesiacos, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Public Health, Safety, and Meeting Minutes - Final April 23, 2024 Transportation Committee 24-0248 A Resolution establishing the maximum number of Class A: Package Sales/Gas Station Beer & Wine Only liquor licenses (unofficially related to the application from DAMJ TEAM, Inc. d/b/a 7-Eleven #32202G at 1202 N Eola Rd, Aurora). [Ward 10] Jen Stallings, City Clerk - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Vice Chair Donnell, seconded by Alderwoman Garza, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 24-0258 A Resolution approving estimated payments in the amount of $122,000.00 to Macon County Law Enforcement in partnership with Richland Community College for police recruit training, lodging, and meals in 2024. Lieutenant Bill Rowley, APD, presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Vice Chair Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 24-0266 A Resolution establishing the maximum number of licenses for tattoo and body art establishments in the City of Aurora in accordance with Chapter 25, Article XI "Tattoo and Body Art Establishments". Jen Stallings, City Clerk - City of Aurora and Lisa Zepeda, Revenue and Collections - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Vice Chair Donnell, that this agenda item be held. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 24-0273 A Resolution awarding West Hauling and Landscaping, Beary Landscape Management, and Tavarez and Sons Lawn Care, IL as the 2024 contractors with a possible 2-year extension for Lawn Mowing Services (as a part of the Special Lawn Mowing Support program) within the City of Aurora Illinois. Katrina Boatright, Senior Services - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Garza, seconded by Vice Chair Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried.
