CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Franco called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith and seconded by Alderman Saville to allow Alderman Bugg to participate in this meeting remotely. The motion carried by voice vote and Alderman Bugg participated in this meeting remotely. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Carl Franco, Vice Chair Mike Saville, Alderman Jonathan Núñez, Alderman Edward Bugg and Alderwoman Patty Smith APPROVAL OF MINUTES 25-0462 Approval of the minutes from the Public Health, Safety, and Transportation Committee held on May 27, 2025 . A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Vice Chair Saville, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Public Health, Safety, and Meeting Minutes - Final June 10, 2025 Transportation Committee 25-0289 A Resolution authorizing the acceptance of Anthem Excavation & Demolition, Inc. as the contractor to demolish 306 N River St and 316 N River St Aurora, IL 60506. Ruthy Harris, Director of Property Standards - City of Aurora presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Vice Chair Saville, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 25-0376 A Resolution authorizing the acceptance of Anthem Excavation & Demolition, Inc. as the contractor to demolish 630 Hammond Av Aurora, IL 60506. A motion was made by Vice Chair Saville, seconded by Alderwoman Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 25-0483 A Resolution increasing the maximum number of Class D: Downtown Fringe On-Site Consumption liquor licenses (unofficially related to the application from Nide Jardin LLC). [Ward 4] Jennifer Stallings, City Clerk - City of Aurora and Nancy Martinez, Owner of Nide Jardin LLC presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderman Núñez, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 25-0484 A Resolution establishing the maximum number of Class A: Package Sales (Convenience Store/Beer & Wine Only) liquor licenses (unofficially related to the application from B&K Foodmart). A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderman Núñez, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried.
