A motion was made by Alderman Smith, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0118 Approval of the minutes from the Special Rules, Administration and Procedures Committee meeting held on February 17, 2021 . A motion was made by Alderman Smith, seconded by Vice Chair Llamas, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT Jessica Pacheco; Cristal Ornelas; Giana Volpe; Jonathan Berning AGENDA 21-0129 An Ordinance amending Chapter 13.5 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora, pertaining to the hiring of experienced police officers . This Ordinance was held 21-0138 An Ordinance Amending Chapter 27, Sections 27-171 and Sec. 27-183 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Aurora . A motion was made by Alderman Smith, seconded by Alderman Bugg, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 City of Aurora Page 2 Rules, Administration, and Meeting Minutes - Final March 2, 2021 Procedure 21-0116 A Resolution authorizing the 2021 Ward Neighborhood Cleanup Program and Shred Events in all Wards in the City of Aurora . A motion was made by Alderman Smith, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0148 A Resolution Appointing three inaugural members for a three-year term to the Aurora Civilian Review Board . A motion was made by Alderman Smith, seconded by Alderman Bugg, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0151 A Resolution Appointing the three inaugural members for a two-year term to the Aurora Civilian Review Board . A motion was made by Alderman Smith, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 21-0152 A Resolution Appointing the three inaugural members for a one-year term to the Aurora Civilian Review Board . A motion was made by Alderman Smith, seconded by Alderman Bugg, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 HELD 20-0826 Discussion of Resolution 20-281 regarding the need for the regulation of the sale of pets at retail locations within the City of Aurora . This Information/Discussion Only was discussed and filed CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Alderman Smith, seconded by Alderman Donnell, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried. Chairperson Franco adjourned the meeting at 4:54pm.
