Please contact the Aldermen’s Office at (630) 256-3020 with questions. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Woerman called the meeting to order at 3:01 PM. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith and seconded by Alderman Franco to allow Alderman Bugg to participate in this meeting remotely per section 2-80. The motion carried by voice vote and Alderman Bugg was allowed to participate in this meeting remotely via audio conference. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Ron Woerman, Vice Chair Emmanuel Llamas, Alderman Edward Bugg, Alderman Carl Franco and Alderwoman Patty Smith APPROVAL OF MINUTES 24-0206 Approval of the minutes from the Rules, Administration and Procedure Committee meeting held on March 19 , 2024. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 4 PUBLIC COMMENT None City of Aurora Page 1 Rules, Administration, and Meeting Minutes - Final April 2, 2024 Procedure AGENDA 24-0053 An Ordinance Amending Chapter 29, Article II, Creating "Section 32, Fleeing and Eluding." Alderman Bugg joined the meeting via video conference at 3:21 PM. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0225 An Ordinance amending Chapter 2, Article 2-IV of the Code of Ordinances pertaining to the organization of the City's Departments. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Vice Chair Llamas, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0193 A Resolution approving the reappointment of John Duggan to the Aurora Police Pension Board . A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0235 A Resolution approving the appointment of Julian Mendoza to the Aurora Youth Council. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0240 A Resolution approving the appointment of Viral Shah to the Fire Code Board of Appeals and the Permanent Building & Fire Code Committee. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderwoman Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0239 Update on process for planned changes to Article 25-VII, "General Business Registration" of the Code of Ordinances. The motion carried. The Chairperson adjourned the meeting at 4:03 PM.
