CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Woerman called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith and seconded by Alderman Franco to allow Alderman Llamas to participate in this meeting remotely. The motion carried by voice vote and Alderman Llamas participated in this meeting remotely. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Ron Woerman, Vice Chair Emmanuel Llamas, Alderman Edward Bugg, Alderman Carl Franco and Alderwoman Patty Smith APPROVAL OF MINUTES 24-0402 Approval of the minutes from the Rules, Administration and Procedure Committee meeting held on May 21, 2024 . A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Rules, Administration, and Meeting Minutes - Final June 18, 2024 Procedure 24-0414 An Ordinance Establishing the Sister Cities Commission Under Chapter 2, Article VI of the Code of Ordinances. Alex Voigt, Mayor's Office and Martha Paschke, Community Services - City of Aurora, presented an answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0465 A Resolution authorizing the appointment of Carlos Anaya to the Innovation and Technology Advisory Commission . Sylvia Vargas, Mayor's Office - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderman Franco, seconded by Alderwoman Smith, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0466 A Resolution approving the appointment of Gloria Ramos, Keshav Varma, and Delainey Baran to the Aurora Youth Council. Sylvia Vargas, Mayor's Office - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Smith, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 24-0452 Revised Aldermen's Office Policies . Rich Jacobs, Aldermen's Office and Nydia Molina, Legal - City of Aurora, presented and answered questions regarding this item. This Information/Discussion Only was discussed and filed CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Alderman Bugg, seconded by Alderman Franco, that this meeting be adjourned.
