CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Bugg called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Chairperson Edward Bugg, Vice Chair Dan Barreiro, Alderman Javier Bañuelos, Alderwoman Shweta Baid and Alderman-At-Large Will White APPROVAL OF MINUTES 25-0614 Approval of the minutes from Rules, Administration, and Procedure Committee meeting held on August 4, 2025 . A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Alderman Bañuelos, that this agenda item be accepted and filed. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 PUBLIC COMMENT Austin FitzCorbett spoke in regards to item 25-0605. AGENDA City of Aurora Page 1 Rules, Administration, and Meeting Minutes - Final August 19, 2025 Procedure 25-0610 A Resolution authorizing the appointments of Ricardo Herrera, Amy Flores, Aasvi Chokshi, Alex Feinberg, Ava DeWig, and Alex Tello to the Aurora Youth Council. Simon Rodriguez, Youth Services Manager - City of Aurora presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Vice Chair Barreiro, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 25-0645 A Resolution authorizing the appointments of LaTanya Reme and Mary Fultz to the African American Heritage Advisory Board. Nick Thompson, Deputy Chief of Staff - Mayor's Office and LaTanya Reme presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Vice Chair Barreiro, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Ayes: 5 25-0654 A Resolution appointing Alderman Ted Mesiacos, Alderman Carl Franco and Alderman-at-Large Will White to the Aquatics Advisory Council . Nick Thompson, Deputy Chief of Staff - Mayors Office and Deb Lang, Assistant Corporation Counsel presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Vice Chair Barreiro, that this agenda item be recommended for approval. The motion carried. Alderman White abstained from voting on this item. Ayes: 4 Abstain: 1 RULES, ADMINISTRATION AND PROCEDURES RESOLUTIONS 25-0595 A Resolution authorizing the Ward 10 Residential Grant Program . Alderwoman Baid and Deb Lang, Assistant Corporation Counsel presented and answered questions regarding this item. A motion was made by Vice Chair Barreiro, seconded by Alderman Bañuelos, that this agenda item be approved. The motion carried. Alderwoman Baid abstained from voting on this item. Kameron DeBoer, Animal Control Manager presented and answered questions regarding this item. This Information/Discussion Only was held CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Alderwoman Baid, seconded by Vice Chair Barreiro, that this meeting be adjourned. The motion carried.
