Consider approving the Minutes of the March 10, 2026 Azle MDD regular meeting Bill Jones moved to approve the Minutes of the March 10, 2026 Azle MDD regular meeting, as presented. Consider any action authorizing the City Manager to execute an economic development agreement between the City of Azle, the Board of Directors of the Municipal Development District (MDD), and the Azle Area Chamber of Commerce, for 256 W. Main Street, Azle, Texas. Executive Director Amber Beard stated this is the proposed agreement as discussed at the March 2026 MDD meeting providing a one-time financial incentive to assist with construction costs for the new Azle Area Chamber of Commerce building. City Council unanimously approved the agreement at their May 12, 2026 meeting. It is now being presented to the MDD Board for their approval. Director Randa Goode moved to authorize the City Manager to execute an economic development agreement between the City of Azle, the Board of Directors of the Municipal Development District (MDD), and the Azle Area Chamber of Commerce, for 256 W. Consider any action on the new Economic Development Branding Project Community & Marketing Specialist Kristen Pegues presented the Board with several logo options chosen by the MDD sub-committee. Director Randa Goode moved to approve the Azle logo with recommended changes. Vice President Bill Jones seconded the motion. Proposed FY2026-27 MDD Budget Executive Director Amber Beard presented an overview of the proposed FY2026-27 MDD Budget, noting the final proposed budget will be presented to the Board at the July meeting. PRESENTATION 5. Development Activity Report Community & Marketing Specialist Kristen Pegues presented an update on current/future projects in the city. Background and Explanation: The Q3 budget amendment reflects an increase in Economic Development Grants (adding $327,700 for the current fiscal year - FY 2025-26) due to a recently approved 380 Agreement with the Azle Chamber of Commerce ($325,000) and a FSIP grant ($2,700) on July 7, 2026. On June 9, 2026, the MDD voted to approve a 380 Agreement for a one-time financial incentive from the MDD to the Chamber, in consideration of the Chamber’s capital investment in the new Chamber office project. The incentive would be applied toward the construction of the new facility, as outlined in the agreement. The Azle Area Chamber of Commerce seeks to construct a facility to house its operations on property located at 546 W. Main Street in Azle, Texas. The economic development agreement is intended to promote economic development within the City by supporting the growth and expansion of business enterprises that create or retain primary jobs. If the Board approves the Q3 budget amendment, it will be presented to the City Council in August at the same time the City's Q3 budget amendment for FY 2025-26 will be presented for approval. Attachments: None Page 5 of 7  Item Number: 3 Presenter: Amber Beard, City Manager Agenda Item: Consider any action on the proposed FY 2026-27 MDD budget Background and Explanation: The Bylaws state the MDD Board must adopt a budget before presenting it to the City Council for approval. Section 3. Annual Budget. On or before August 1 of each year, the Board shall prepare and present a proposed budget of expected revenues and proposed expenditures for the next ensuing fiscal year to the City Council. The fiscal year of the District shall commence on October 1 of each year and end on September 30. The proposed budget is attached. If the Board approves this proposed budget, it will be presented to the City Council prior to August 1, 2026. The Council will consider approval of the proposed MDD budget at the same time as they consider approving the City's proposed FY 2026-27 budget in August.
