Mayor Weinberger called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.
1.01 Motion to amend/adopt agenda
MOTION by City Council President Paul, SECOND by Councilor Shannon, to adopt the agenda.
VOTING: unanimous; motion carries.
2. CONSENT AGENDA
2.01 Motion to adopt the consent agenda and take the actions indicated
2.02 Resolution: Ratification Of Appointment Of Assistant Election Officials Re March 7, 2023 Annual City Election (Councilor Paul) - waive
the reading and adopt the resolution
MOTION by City Council President Paul, SECOND by Councilor Shannon, to adopt the consent agenda and take the actions
indicated for items 2.01-2.02.

In the year Two Thousand Twenty Three………………………………………………………………………
Resolved by the Bd. of Civil Authority of the City of Burlington, as follows:
1 That WHEREAS, the City of Burlington Annual City Election was held on March 7, 2023; and
2 WHEREAS, state statute, 17 V.S.A. § 2454, requires the appointment of a sufficient number of
3 assistant election officials for each voting district by the Board of Civil Authority with an attempt to appoint
4 an equal number of persons from each major political party; and
5 WHEREAS, ward clerks as presiding officers of their voting districts have found persons of varying
6 political affiliations to serve as assistant election officials for their districts; and
7 WHEREAS, these persons served under the direction of the ward clerks as assistant election officials,
8 providing competent and essential assistance to the elected and appointed ward officers in the running of the
9 March 7, 2023 Annual City Election;
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Burlington Board of Civil Authority, in accordance
11 with state law, ratifies the appointments of the following assistant election officials with the said appointments
12 to be in effect only for the March 7, 2023 Annual City Election:
