Reason for the request • Confusion over whether vendors must obtain a peddler’s license for events sponsored by the City of Burlington and taking place in Burlington parks has been ongoing, and BPRW has not requested proof of these licenses for events in parks in the past. • BPRW staff received authorization from the Parks Commission in March 2025 to allow vendors selected by department staff to vend at City-produced events in City parks in 2025. • The Waterfront Advisory Committee approved all 2025 Waterfront Park events • The application process for BPRW event vendors for the spring-autumn season is complete. Contracts have been issued and signed without a peddler’s license requirement included in the terms. • BPRW requires vendors to produce a Certificate of Insurance document that demonstrates the appropriate amount of insurance coverage and names the City of Burlington as additionally insured.
