Tax Abatement Committee Wednesday, January, 3, 2024, 3:00 p.m. Sharon Bushor Conference Rm Minutes of the Hearing Committee Members: Councilors Gene Bergman (GB) Chair, Joan Shannon (JS), Timothy Doherty (TD) Others Present: Jared Pellerin (JP), City Attorney’s Office; Joseph Turner (JT), City Assessor; Kenneth Nosek (KN), Committee Administrator-City Assessor’s Office; Traci Isham (TI); Maja Kazimieruk, Erik Ramakrishnan, Shari Corr. Petitioner’s Present: Alexis Eaton, Sara Noth, Jeffrey Sonin. At 3:17 p.m. Chair Gene Bergman commenced the meeting. Introductions made of Committee and Staff members for committee. Agenda: Motion to adopt by GB Second by TD passed Unanimous Vermont House Condo Association, 120 King Street, 049-3-042-000 Alexis Eaton present as representative. Petitioner sworn in. Maja for City of Burlington submitted evidence in form of checks submitted by Vermont House. JS- Motion to recess this hearing until after agenda item 2.04 and to move 2.02 to the agenda to 2.06. Consent unanimous. RESTART of HEARING commenced at 4:38 pm Hearing Closed at 4:55 p.m. Motion to deny made by GB Second by TD JS stands aside. Vermont House Condo Association, 131 Main Street, 049-3-095-007 All facts in relation to other parcel relates to this parcel with exception on amounts due, parcel number and location. Motion to deny made by GB Second by TD JS stands aside. New Northgate Housing LLC, 1925 Northgate Road, 023-3-049-000 Sara Noth, property manager for Northgate Apartments Committee introduced packet into evidence. NNH LLC did not receive tax bill. Motion to grant GB Second JS GoldenJunk LLC, 328 North Winooski Avenue, 040-2-140-000 Jeffery Sonin on behalf of his LLC. Swearing in of all present that will provide testimony. Added to evidence is an e-mail Cash Advance Request for GoldenJunk LLC from State of Vermont. Hearing closed at 4:36 p.m. TD motion to grant JS seconds this motion.
