Adopting the Agenda: The motion to adopt the agenda passed.
Public Forum:
• Hannah spoke about her work at the Vermont Bar Foundation and announced a grant
opportunity due on 7/31 for organizations that offer wraparound services and mutual aid.
• Christa spoke about housing unaffordability and poor housing conditions in the city as well as
noise ordinance concerns in Ward 8
City Council Updates:
• Councilors Broderick and Schacter gave updates on the recent City Council meeting, including
the proposed City Circle restorative justice pilot program, an updated water department
affordability program, and updates on municipal recycling.
Resolution Strengthening the Relationship between the NPAs and the City
• Ward 1 Steering Committee member Jonathan Chapple-Sokol and Ward 1 City Councilor Carter
Neubieser presented on a proposed City Council resolution to formalize the relationship
between NPAs and the City.
• A motion in support of the resolution was passed unanimously.
Partizanfilm:
• Brett and Michelle introduced themselves and discussed the new movie theater under
construction on 230 College St being created to fill the void left by the Roxy. It is a nonprofit and
governed as a cooperative. They will show independent films and repertory programming and
encourage people to reach out with what kinds of programming or events they’d like to see.
• They plan to open in November. You can become a member for $60/year or join the volunteer
list.
