CALL TO ORDER: Commission Chair called the meeting to order at 4pm. Present: COMMISSION CHAIR LIMON, VICE CHAIR MILLARD, COMISSION MEMBERS, JENKINS, MCPHERSON, AND WINTZ Absent: MEMBERS FLICK, MADONE, AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBER MCCULLAR 2. APPROVAL of MINUTES: Motion to approve the minutes from May 27, 2026. Motion passed with majority vote. 3. SAVING PLACES “On the Road” DISCUSSION: Commission Member Jenkins presented the opportunity for Cañon City and the HPC to host an upcoming Saving Places “On the Road” conference through Colorado Preservation Incorporated. Motion to form a committee to review the application for hosting the conference presented. Motion passed with majority vote. 4. 2027 PROPOSED BUDGET: Staff presented a proposed budget for the HPC. Motion to approve 2027 Budget of $5400 was presented and motion passed with majority vote. 5. DESIGN GUIDELINES DISCUSSION & REVIEW: Staff liaison announced the adoption of the proposed Historic Preservation Design Guidelines by City Council vote at the last regular meeting. 6. CLG GRANT PROJECT UPDATE : City staff presented a brief update of progress on the CLG Grant Funded Survey Project. 7. ANNOUNCEMENTS City staff mentioned an upcoming CLG Webinar in August, the Farmers Market through September, upcoming 150/250 Tavern Talks, and the museum’s Historic Bike Tour on July 23rd. 8.
