Non-Bargaining Unit Employees Personnel Board Meeting August 5, 2021 The City of Carbondale’s non-bargaining Unit Employees (NBUE) Personnel Board held a regular meeting on Thursday, August 5, 2021, on Zoom 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 2:00 pm by Dave Chamness 2. Roll Call Present: Christina Kuhns, Arnold Taylor, Chuck Vaught and Jarin Dunnigan Corey Cawthon was absent Also Present: Tara Brown and Kaprice Whittington 3. Approval of Minute Correction under Old Business Section B, management position if they owned a home. Christina Kuhns made a motion to approval the July minutes with corrections and second by Jarin Dunnigan. VOTE: All approved; Motion passed. 4. Old Business A. Discussion on Pay Grade 8 Residency Discrepancies The Board reviewed and discussed the Pay Grade 8 recommended changes submitted by Christina Kuhns. Christina Kuhns made the motion to approve the recommendation as presented and forward to legal to review the definition as stated within the NBUE Rules and Regulations before going to Council. Arnold Taylor second the motion. VOTE: Yes, by Jarin Dunnigan, Dave Chamness, Christina Kuhns, Corey Cawthon and Arnold Taylor. No, by Chuck Vaught; motion passed. 5. New Business ~None~ 6.
