MINUTES Preservation Commission Monday, November 18th, 2024 City Hall/Civic Center– 5:30 p.m. 1. Roll Call: Ms. Gibson called the meeting to order. a. Members Present: Rhodes, Norris-Price, Brown, Bittle, Zurlinden, Grant, Young, Rye- Sanders (ex-officio) b. Members Absent: Ashby, Falcone c. Staff Present: Gibson, Mueller d. Guests: None 2. Approval of Minutes: Ms. Brown made a motion to approve the minutes from the September 18th, 2024 meeting, seconded by Mr. Zurlinden. The minutes were approved by unanimous voice vote. 3. Communication and Reports: a. Educational and Technical Assistance Committee a. No Report b. Nomination and Hardship Committee a. No Report c. Work Plan Committee a. No Report d. Certificate of Appropriateness Committee a. No Report e. Preservation Month Subcommittee a. No Report 4. Old Business: There was none. 5. New Business: a. Brief overview/summary of current and recent projects: The Commission discussed current and recent projects. 1. Creation of Northwest Historic District 2. Historical/Architectural Inventory of the Northeast Quadrant 3. Attucks High School Designation 4. Annual Preservation Awards 1  b. By-Laws Update and Revision c. The commission unanimously voted to amend the agenda to include the approval of meeting minutes from the September 18th, 2024 meeting date. 6. Comments from the Public, Commission Members, or Staff: The Commission discussed upcoming events in December. 7. Adjournment: Mr. Grant made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Zurlinden. The meeting was adjourned with unanimous voice vote. 2
