City of Charleston Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee Special Meeting October 18, 2018 5:30-6:30pm Public Meeting Room, Gaillard Center, 2 George St. Meeting Report Attendance: Committee Members - Matt Moldenhauer (Citizen Co-Chair), Mike Seekings (Council Co- Chair), Rusty Griffith, Karl Brady Jr., Stephen Zoukis, Ian Mills, Marijana Boone, Nina Magnesson City Staff – Aaron Holly (Planning) 1. Approval of Memo to Traffic and Transportation Committee a. The Committee unanimously approved memo to Council Traffic and Transportation Committee stating the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee’s priorities and areas of focus. The committee requests that the memo be placed on the agenda of the first meeting in November of the Traffic and Transportation Committee 2. Approval of Mission Statement a. The Committee unanimously approves the following mission statement: “The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee Exists to advocate for safe and equitable mobility in the City of Charleston.” The mission statement was included as a part of the memo to the traffic and transportation committee. 3. Finalize priority project list a. The committee continued its discussion on project priorities, however some committee members had to leave after approving the mission statement so no official votes were taken on the project priority list.
