City of Charleston Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee May 9, 2019 5:30-6:30pm Charleston Civic Design Center 85 Calhoun St. Meeting Report Attendance: Committee Members - Matt Moldenhauer (Citizen Co-Chair), Katie Zimmerman, Rusty Griffith, Ian Mills, Marijana Boone, Nina Magnesson, Fatima Sakarya City Staff – Keith Benjamin (Traffic & Transportation), Aaron Holly (Planning), Allen Davis (Civic Design) 1. Approval of People Pedal Budget Funds a. The Committee voted unanimously to approve the use of the People Pedal Funds in the Traffic and Transportation budget to facilitate work on the Cooper Street Bikeway and the Bee/Radcliffe Connector. Any remaining funds will be considered later for targeted improvements at intersection identified through a combination of staff, bicycle and pedestrian incident data, and the Charleston Moves near miss data. 2.
