1. Request to set public hearing to consider the abandonment of a portion of Perry
Street in front of Mitchell Elementary School between Fishburne Street and
Sheppard Street.

F. Temporary Encroachments Approved By The Department of Public Service (For
information only)
1. 110 Ithecaw Creek Street – installing irrigation encroaching into right-of-way.
This encroachment is temporary. Approved 5/15, 2014.
2. 1380 Smythe Street – installing tabby concrete driveway and irrigation
encroaching into the right-of-way. This encroachment is temporary. Approved
5/15, 2014.
3. 1630 Pepperwood Court – installing 6-foot wooden shadowbox fence
encroaching into drainage easement. This encroachment is temporary.

4. 2015 Gammon Street – installing part 6-foot and part 4-foot wooden privacy
fence encroaching into drainage easement. This encroachment is temporary.

5. 32 Bull Street – installing pole-mounted historical marker encroaching into right-
of-way. This encroachment is temporary. Approved 5/12, 2014.
G. Miscellaneous or Other New Business
1. Approval of the Memorandum of Intent with the US Forestry Service to enter into
an agreement to begin to investigate and develop a mutually-beneficial mitigation
project on USFS property (Francis Marion National Forest). (DEFERRED)
2. Approval of the Collection Agreement between the City of Charleston and the
USDA-Forest Service to enter into a cost sharing agreement to begin to
investigate and develop a mutually-beneficial mitigation project on USFS
property (Francis Marion National Forest). Mitigation project must be approved
by OCRM and USACOE before we can issue bid documents for Phase 3
(Tunneling) of the US17 Spring Fishburne Project. (For information only)
3. Report on the Effect of Single Stream Recycling on Garbage Collection
Workload.
