CHARLESTON SANITARY BOARD OCTOBER 24, 2024 SPECIAL BOARD MEETING – 10:00 A.M. VIA ZOOM TELECONFERENCE NOTICE AND AGENDA For: Members: Chairwoman Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin and Messrs. Kanti Patel, PE and Jack Rossi, CPA, Treasurer Others: Steve A. Cooper, General Manager; Louis S. Southworth, II, Legal Advisor; Tim Haapala, Operations Manager; Crystal Sanders, Finance Manager; and Teresa Dawson, Board Secretary and Administrative Assistant Since this meeting with be conducted via Zoom , anyone wishing to comment during the public comments portion of the meeting is asked to email comments to info@csb-wv.com by October 24 th , 2024, at 10:00 AM. Any comments received will be read into the record during the meeting. Any member of the public who wishes to comment live during the meeting can do so by calling 304-348-1084 ext 250 at 10:00 AM on October 24th , 2024. I. New business. 1. Consider for approval and authorize the General Manager, or his designee, to effect the settlement of a sewer backup claim for Rita Brooks, 99 Glenwood Avenue, Charleston, West Virginia, in the amount of $21,130.15, resulting from a rain event that occurred on or about April 11, 2024. 2. Consider for approval, and authorize the General Manager, or his designee, to effect the settlement of a sewer backup claim for Mary Watson, 100 Glenwood Avenue, Charleston, West Virginia, in the revised range of $28,169.21 - $34,418.45, as recommended by CSB’s insurer, WVCorp., resulting from a rain event that occurred on or about April 11, 2024. The Board approved a settlement range of $17,398.91- $21,130.15 during its October 10, 2024 Meeting; however, CHARLESTON SANITARY BOARD OCTOBER 24, 2024 SPECIAL BOARD MEETING NOTICE AND AGENDA, CONTINUED CSB subsequently received a final appraisal report from its insurer along with the suggested, revised settlement range. 3. Consider for approval, and authorize the General Manager, or his designee, to effect the settlement of a sewer backup claim for Corey Zinn, 109 Glenwood Avenue, Charleston, West Virginia, in the range of $18,627.06 - $21,256.46, as recommended by CSB’s insurer, WVCorp., resulting from a rain event that occurred on or about April 11, 2024. II. Next scheduled meeting: December12, 2024. III. Adjourn.
