Summary: Staff will present details of the City of College Station FY 2026-2027 Proposed Budget. The City’s charter says the City Manager will prepare and submit a proposed budget to the City Council no later than 30 days prior to the end of the fiscal year. The budget was presented on to Council on July 6th. These Budget workshop meetings on July 13th to July 15th are to review the proposed budget, and the key budget decision points in detail. The calendar for the budget process includes a budget public hearing on July 23rd. The tax rate hearing is scheduled for August 27th. Adoption of the Budget and tax rate is scheduled for August 27th.
