The City uses a third- party vendor to host the virtual portion of the meeting; if virtual access is unavailable, meeting access and participation will be in-person only. 1. Call to Order. 2. The City Council may according to the Texas Open Meetings Act adjourn the Open Meeting during the Consent, Workshop or Regular or Special Agendas and return into Executive Session to seek legal advice from the City Attorney regarding any item on the Workshop, Consent or Regular or Special Agendas under Chapter 551, Texas Government Code I certify that the above Notice of Meeting was posted on the website and at College Station City Hall, 1101 Texas Avenue, College Station, Texas, on July 6, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. City Secretary This building is wheelchair accessible. Relationship to Strategic Goals: Good Governance Financial Sustainability Core Services & Infrastructure Neighborhood Integrity Diverse & Growing Economy Improving Mobility Sustainable City Recommendation(s): Staff will present to Council details the FY 2026-2027 Proposed Budget. Summary: Staff will present details of the City of College Station FY 2026-2027 Proposed Budget. The City’s charter says the City Manager will prepare and submit a proposed budget to the City Council no later than 30 days prior to the end of the fiscal year. The budget was presented on to Council on July 6th. These Budget workshop meetings on July 13th to July 15th are to review the proposed budget, and the key budget decision points in detail. The calendar for the budget process includes a budget public hearing on July 23rd. The tax rate hearing is scheduled for August 27th. Adoption of the Budget and tax rate is scheduled for August 27th.
