CALL TO ORDER Shults called the meeting to order at 4:17 p.m. Committee Member Attendance: Kevin Shults, Aaron Krawitz, and Caroline Leemis Committee Member Excused: Judy Harper Staff in Attendance: JJ Musgrove II APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approved by Leemis, seconded by Krawitz. REVIEW OF MAY COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA A draft of the May commission meeting agenda was distributed and discussed. Updates on the following items were provided by Musgrove: Special Presentation, Columbia Arts Fund and the Poster Party. Musgrove proposed an idea to rebrand the Poster Party for the Arts to the 2016 Celebration of the Arts. The rebranding will create more interest in the fundraiser as well as provide an additional way to celebrate the arts in Columbia. He suggested honoring an individual who has made an impact within a nonprofit arts organization; nominations would be submitted by the organizations themselves. Discussion ensued about the various details, and the overall idea was met with approval. Musgrove will open it up for discussion at the May full commission meeting. IV. ADJOURNMENT A motion to adjourn was made by Leemis and seconded by Krawitz at 4:50 p.m. Members of the public may attend any open meeting.
