City of Columbia, Missouri Meeting Minutes Mayor's Task Force on the U.S.S. Columbia Tuesday, November 7, 2017 Community Room 3:00 PM Walton Building 300 S. Providence Rd. Columbia, Missouri 65203 I. CALL TO ORDER Meeting was called to order at 3:12 p.m. by chair, Anne Moore. Present: 7- Anne Moore, Anne Clark, John Clark, William Markgraf, Robert Ross, Becky Wischmeyer and Marty Walker Excused: 2- Peter Koukola and Chris Kelly II. INTRODUCTIONS Introductions were made III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA A motion to approve the agenda made by Markgraf; seconded by J. Clark; motion carried. IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion to approve the minutes made by Ross, seconded by J. Clark; motion passed August 9, 2017 Attachments: 8.9.17 USS Columbia Minutes V. REPORTS Crew Activites The U.S.S. Columbia crew should be deploying in December and will be on “dry dock” for approximately 2 years, however will continue work during that duration. Namesake City Visit Review Email invitations seemed to work very well. The Chamber Ambassadors was a great addition and the Mayor’s task force also thought the gifts (engraved tiles and flag) were excellent choices. Overall the reception went well, however one suggestion is to announce that refreshments are available. The Crew formed a really good relationship with the Mayor and really enjoyed the tour given by Dresser. VI.
