City of Columbia, Missouri Meeting Minutes Railroad Advisory Board Thursday, April 13, 2017 6501 N Brown Station 8:00 AM Rd Transload I. CALL TO ORDER A meeting of the Railroad Advisory Board was held on April 13, 2017 in the Trans load Conference Room, 6501 N. Brown Station Road, Columbia, MO. Staff: Tad Johnsen, Columbia Utilities Director; David Sprague, Railroad Operations Manager;Tina Worley, Utility Services Manager; ; David Dick, Transload Supervisor; Diane Wyatt, Office Assistant Present: 4- Peter Davis, Kee Groshong, Steven Moak and Marty Paten Absent: 3- Gregory Eiffert, Jesse Fitzgerald and John Wilke II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved as submitted. III. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES On a motion by Kee Groshong and seconded by Steve Moak, the minutes of January 12, 2017 were approved. FINANCIAL REPORT as available Tad Johnson reported that there are no financial reports at this time but the staff is working to bring the financial reports up to date from October 1, 2017. Right now there is no accurate reporting available. V. TRAFFIC REPORT Dave Sprague indicated that last month was the best month for Fiscal Year. Bio-diesel is still not at full production therefore cars are still sitting on rail. MoDot for Mt. Zion Church road will pay 100% for new signals. Attachments: FY2017 Traffic Report VI. MARKETING REPORT City of Columbia, Missouri Page 1 Printed on 8/14/2017 Railroad Advisory Board Meeting Minutes April 13, 2017 Tina Worley met with new Manager, Jody Heath of Short Line and she took a list of items that were issues with NS interchange agreements, projects that were not executed. She is to work on Central Salt for distribution system and will meet with them for Columbia as a central distribution location. Waterloo has two different buyers, Lex Steel and Summit Global. There will be l of tonnage involved and they are looking to convert from truck to rail. Midway Arms is looking to expand from Kansas City to Columbia and will be bringing containers in. VII.
