Monday, January 12, 2015 4:00 PM City Council Conference Rm 225 SPECIAL MEETING NO. 2 OF COLUMBUS CITY COUNCIL, MONDAY JANUARY 12, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. IN CITY COUNCIL CONFERENCE RM. 225 ROLL CALL Present: 6 - Shannon Hardin, Zachary Klein, Michelle Mills, Eileen Paley, Priscilla Tyson, and Andrew Ginther READING AND DISPOSAL OF THE JOURNAL A motion was made by Klein, seconded by Tyson, to Dispense with the reading of the Journal and Approve. The motion carried by the following vote: Affirmative: 6- Shannon Hardin, Zachary Klein, Michelle Mills, Eileen Paley, Priscilla Tyson, and Andrew Ginther President Ginther stated that as provided for in Columbus City Charter Section 8 and Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G), Council will go into Executive Session to consider the appointment of an applicant to the current vacancy on this Council. No vote or formal action of any kind shall take place during Executive Session. Following Executive Session, Council will come back into this public meeting and any votes that are needed will take place and be recorded as part of Special Meeting #2. EXECUTIVE SESSION TO CONSIDER THE APPOINTMENT OF AN APPLICANT TO THE CURRENT VACANCY ON COUNCIL A MOTION WAS MADE BY COUNCILMEMBER PALEY, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER TYSON, TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE APPOINTMENT OF AN APPLICANT TO THE VACANCY ON THIS COUNCIL THE MOTION CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AFFIRMATIVE: 6, NEGATIVE: 0 City of Columbus Page 1 Columbus City Council Minutes - Final January 12, 2015 (President Ginther asked those present that were not Members of Council or the City Clerk to please excuse themselves from the Conference Room.) Executive Session included discussion regarding potential candidates to fill the vacancy. No votes or formal action of any kind were taken. EXECUTIVE SESSION CONCLUSION President Ginther stated that Council was back on the record for Special Meeting #2 at 4:50 p.m. and stated that there were no other items to come before Council ADJOURNMENT ADJOURNED AT 4:52 PM A motion was made by Klein, seconded by Tyson, to adjourn this Regular Meeting.
