Continue planning of 2026 Art Exhibits & Events a. Doelger Seniors Art Works: August-September 2026 i. Opening Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 6-8pm 1. One submission per senior ii. Opportunity to combine with Volunteen Leadership Program to build multi-generational connections as part of Daly City’s Age-Friendly Task Force 1. 20-25 photos from participants  2. Dedicate to Phyllis Rizzi b. Dia de los Muertos Celebration: October-December 2026 i. Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 4:30-7:30pm ii. Commissioner Rodriguez to work on food donations and performances 1. Los Cuates and La Tapatia 2. Mixtiso iii. Commissioner Daus-Magbual will work on the art exhibit 1. Hang on August 4th iv. Commissioner Macahalis will work on the car show. Possible fundraiser. v. Chair Espinda will work on merchandise booths and sponsorships 2. Explore Pop Up Art Exhibits a. Commissioner Daus-Magbual working with a comedian and Seafood City on an event “The Good Egg” August 14th at 9:30pm i. recorded documentary ii. proceeds go to nonprofits that serve immigrant populations (i.e., Faith in Action) b. Opportunity for Arts & Culture Commission to co-sponsor. Not monetary, just help to promote. 3. Update on “I LOVE DALY CITY” Destination Picture Spot a. Look into corner of Mission St. and Alp 4. Review replacement options of Art Hooks and Track a. Commissioner Espinda 5. Refresh Electrical Boxes Fall 2026 a. Commissioner Daus-Magbual will reach back out to the professor regarding Fall class NEW BUSINESS 1. Discuss potential Commission Fundraiser with Low Rider theme a. Consider combining this with Dia de los Muertos. Proceeds go to Arts & Culture Commission 2. Discuss future art exhibit in partnership with Chinese Arts Association of San Francisco and Lions District 4-C4. a.
