Sherwin-Cole Staff/Council present: S. VanDeWoestyne Guest(s): L. Wilson Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by V. Kelly. Approval of Minutes: M. Shrikhande moved to have the minutes of the March 2023 meeting approved, T. Farley seconded. All ayes. New Business: 1. L. Wilson was introduced to the commission. She will be appointed to the Affirmative Action Advisory Commission at the next City Council meeting. 2. S. VanDeWoestyne presented an update on the continuous police officer process and shared some of the marketing materials that have been developed. Commissioners were encouraged to help spread the word through their personal and professional networks as we continue to need good quality candidates to join the Davenport Police Department. 3. S. VanDeWoestyne also provided an update on some of the other positions that are currently open and have active recruitments. Adjournment T. Farley moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by M. Shrikhande. All ayes. The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
