VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD FINE ARTS COMMISSION Minutes of Meeting – Tuesday, September 20, 2016 5:45 p.m. Deerfield Library Members Present: Jeff Marks, Chair Dottie Fiedler Jim Golding Ed Seidman Kathleen Warren Judy Hoffman Rick Julison Also Present: David Fitzgerald, Management Analyst Not Present: Joseph Taylor, Jill Shapiro 1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Marks at 6:00 p.m. 2. Public Comment No one was present for public comment. 3. Public Art Program Analyst Fitzgerald reported that Commissioner Warren had helped with the set up and organized the “Ask the Artist” portion of the evening. 4. Other items for Discussion Chairman Marks noted he would like to see movement in getting art in vacant storefronts. He asked Commissioner Fiedler to help with this. Chairman Marks reported that Susan Redondo was retiring following the production of “Big.” He requested that the Village prepare a proclamation honoring her for her years of service to the arts in Deerfield. Commissioner Fiedler made a motion adjourn. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Warren. The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be held October 24, 2016, at 5:45 p.m. at the Deerfield Library.
