MINUTES CITY OF DEKALB AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD FEBRUARY 25, 2020 The Airport Advisory Board of the City of DeKalb, Illinois held a Regular meeting on February 25, 2020 at the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, 2200 Pleasant Street, DeKalb Illinois. Chair Bob Owens called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. A. ROLLCALL Bob Owens called the roll and the following members of the Airport Advisory Board were present: Paul Borek, Matt Duffy, Melissa Gallagher, Gary Hanson, Robert Owens, and Bernard Pupino. Also present were: Airport Manager Tom Cleveland, City Manager Bill Nicklas, and Streets & Facilities Director Andy Raih. B. APPROVAL OF AGENDA-ADDITIONS/ DELETIONS Gary Hanson moved to approve the agenda; seconded by Bernie Pupino. Motion passed by a majority voice vote of those present.' C. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was none. D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Matt Duffy moved to approve the minutes of January 28, 2020 meeting; seconded by Melissa Gallagher. Motion passed by a majority voice vote of those present. E. OLD BUSINESS There was none. F. NEW BUSINESS 1. Approval of the Recommendation to Approve an 18-Month Extension of the Fuel Supplier's/Branding Agreement with World Fuel Services/Ascent Aviation Group, Inc., at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport. Airport Advisory Board Minutes February 25, 2020 Page 2 of 2 Given the transition in Airport management and the uncertainty of the start date of the new Manager, it was recommended that an 18-month extension be made to the contract to give the new Manager time to lead an RFP process. 2. Discussion of Illinois Department of Transportation - Division of Aeronautics Aircraft Counting Study. A brief discussion ensued about the advantage of this IDOT program. G. AIRPORT MANAGER REPORT 1. Airport Operations Airport Manager Tom Cleveland was ill and could not attend the meeting. I. ADJOURNMENT Paul Borek moved to adjourn the meeting; seconded by Tony Faivre .. Motion passed by a majority voice vote of those present. Chair Owens adjourned the meeting at 7:52 p.m ..
