MINUTES CITY OF DEKALB DeKalb Firefighters Pension Fund February 13, 2019 The Board of Trustees of the DeKalb Firefighters Pension Fund held a Special Meeting on February 13, 2019 in the Ellwood Conference Room at 200 S. Fourth Street, DeKalb, Illinois. Pat Eriksen, President of the Board called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m. A. ROLL CALL President Pat Eriksen called the roll and the following members of the DeKalb Firefighters Pension Fund were present: Pat Eriksen, Chris Ziola, Jeff McMaster, Bill Kalal, and Ray Krueger. Members absent at roll call were: none. Also present was Recording Secretary and Staff Liaison Traci Lemay and Jim Zarek. B. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA – ADDITIONS / DELETIONS A Motion was made by Ray Krueger to approve the Agenda. Said Motion was seconded by Pat Eriksen and unanimously approved by the Board by roll call. C. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION None D. NEW BUSINESS Request for Benefits A Motion was made by Chris Ziola to approve the retirement benefits for Deputy Chief Jim Zarek for a retirement effective on February 16, 2019. Last day of active employment will be February 15, 2019. Hire date was January 15, 1990. The approved annual retirement benefit is $88,436.40. Said Motion was seconded by Bill Kalal and approved by the Board by roll call. E. ADJOURNMENT A Motion was made by Ray Krueger to adjourn. Said Motion was seconded by Chris Ziola and unanimously approved by the Board.
