Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, IL President Jim Kayes called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. A. ROLL CALL Vice President Paul Mott called the roll and the following members of the DeKalb Police Pension Fund were present: Jim Kayes, Paul Mott, Joshua Boldt. Also present: David Wall with Wall & Associates, Joyce Stupegia and Ray Munch B. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA – ADDITIONS / DELETIONS • Agenda approved on voice vote by Secretary Mott. 3 ayes. C. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION • Joyce Stupegia plans on returning to her pension board duties in May of 2019. D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES • Minutes from the DeKalb Police Pension Fund Meeting on October 19th, 2018 were approved by voice vote. 3 ayes. (Jim Kayes, Paul Mott, Joshua Boldt) • E. OLD BUSINESS • None F. TREASURE’S REPORT • David Wall provided the quarterly report on fund performance for the first quarter of 2019. G. NEW BUSINESS • BILLS FOR PAYMENT  o Motion by Paul Mott to pay bills listed on the agenda of January 18th, 2019. Second by Joshua Boldt. Roll call vote by Secretary Mott. Yes, votes from Joshua Boldt, Paul Mott, and Jim Kayes. President Kayes declared the motion passed. • APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP o None o It was noted that Officer Ballschmiede and Thompson were recently hired and will have applications at the next meeting. • SERVICE PURCHASE & TRANSFERS o None H. REQUEST FOR BENEFITS o Officer Jaques, DOR: 01/02/2019, Motion by Paul Mott to approve benefits for Jaques, second by Joshua Boldt. Roll call vote by Secretary Mott. Yes, votes from Joshua Boldt, Paul Mott, and Jim Kayes. President Kayes declared the motion passed. o Chief Lowery, DOR: 06/01/2019, Motion by Paul Mott to approve benefits for Jaques, second by Joshua Boldt. Roll call vote by Secretary Mott. Yes, votes from Joshua Boldt, Paul Mott, and Jim Kayes. President Kayes declared the motion passed. I. NEW BUSINESS o It was noted that Officer Winters voluntarily terminated employment with the City of DeKalb on 01/03/2019. Winters has been listed as a deferred pensioner. o Board Election ▪ The votes were tallied, Paul Mott retained his current position (24-0). Ballot counting was completed by Joshua Boldt and confirmed by Jim Kayes. o Pensioner Tom Lawson passed away on 02/23/2019. Lawsons death certificate was filed. There is no surviving spouse. o Joshua Boldt, Paul Mott, and Jim Kayes. President Kayes declared the motion passed. J. ADJOURNMENT • Motion by Joshua Boldt to adjourn. Second by Paul Mott. 3 ayes.
