Minutes Business, Arts, Workforce, & Aviation Services Committee Committee Members: Flynn, Chair; Hinds, Vice-Chair; Sawyer, Herndon, Ortega, Clark Committee Staff: Luke Palmisano Wednesday, March 9, 2022, 1:30 PM City & County Building, Council Chambers, Room 450 Attendance Present: 7- Sawyer, Herndon, Hinds, Ortega, Flynn, Gilmore, Clark Action Items 22-0201 Approves a Business Incentive Fund (BIF) contract with Bottling Group, LLC for an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 and for 7 years through 12-31-2028 for performance based criteria that include establishment of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and associated significant investments, as well as job retention and creation and associated investments into upskilling and training of the manufacturing facility’s Denver-based workforce (OEDEV-202160849-00). A motion offered by Councilmember Gilmore, duly seconded by Councilmember Herndon, that Council Resolution 22-0201 be approved for filing, carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Sawyer, Herndon, Hinds, Ortega, Flynn, Gilmore, Clark Nay: 0 Consent Items Block Vote A motion offered to approve the following items en bloc, carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Sawyer, Herndon, Hinds, Ortega, Flynn, Gilmore, Clark Nay: 0 22-0263 Amends a contract with Re:Vision to allow for the transfer of the property located at 3738 Morrison Road in Council District 3, and assigns the City and County of Denver Page 1 Printed on 3/9/2022 Minutes Business, Arts, Workforce, & Aviation Services Committee Wednesday, March 9, 2022 associated performance loans and payments to Meade Street Gardens, LLC, an affiliate of Urban Land Conservancy. A motion offered that Council Resolution 22-0263 be approved by consent en bloc, carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Sawyer, Herndon, Hinds, Ortega, Flynn, Gilmore, Clark Nay: 0 22-0268 Approves an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Community College of Denver (CCD) for $822,700 and through 12-31-2022 for activities in CCD’s Center for Workforce Initiatives relating to WORKNOW, a collaborative workforce development initiative to recruit, support and train local residents in construction and construction-related careers, citywide (OEDEV-202161592-00).
