Minutes Finance & Governance Committee Committee Members: Kniech, Chair; Flynn, Vice-Chair; Black; Espinoza; López; Ortega Committee Staff: Shelley Smith Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 1:30 PM City & County Building, Room 391 Attendance Present: 10 - Kniech, Flynn, Black, Espinoza, Ortega, Brooks, Herndon, Kashmann, New, Susman Absent: 1- López Action Items 17-0764 Adds $480,000 to the contract with Arup Advisory Inc., for a new total amount of $955,000 for advisory services and the development of a public private partnership program and communications plan (201630753-00). A motion offered by Councilmember Ortega, duly seconded by Councilmember Espinoza, that Resolution 17-0764 be postponed to November 14 carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Kniech, Flynn, Black, Espinoza, Ortega Nay: 0 Absent: 1- López 17-0945 Approves a Purchase and Sale Agreement with Valentia Building LLC., for $1,300,000 for acquisition of 8315 East Colfax Avenue in Council District 8 (FINAN 201736137-00). A motion offered by Councilmember Black, duly seconded by Councilmember Espinoza, that Resolution 17-0945 be approved for filing carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Kniech, Flynn, Black, Espinoza Nay: 0 Absent: 2- López, Ortega Below are three items that were approved on the Committee's consent agenda today. City and County of Denver Page 1 Printed on 8/23/2017 Minutes Finance & Governance Committee Tuesday, August 22, 2017 Consent Items 17-0930 Amends Chapter 53 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code relating to the definition of charitable corporation to correct formatting errors and utilize the current definition of a “Retailer or Vendor.” Council Bill 17-0930 was approved by consent. 17-0931 Approves a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $302,000 from the General Fund Contingency to fulfill the City’s obligation for a personnel settlement. Council Bill 17-0931 was approved by consent. 17-0937 Approves the dissolution of the Denver Union Station Project Authority and assignment of outstanding responsibilities to the City and to the Regional Transportation District (RTD) including the 20th Street and Chestnut Place intersection improvements and other duties.
