Minutes Finance & Governance Committee Committee Members: Flynn, Chair; Clark, Vice-Chair; Black; Susman; Kneich; López Committee Staff: Shelley Smith Tuesday, January 16, 2018, 1:30 PM City & County Building, Room 391 Attendance Present: 8- Flynn, Clark, Black, Susman, Kniech, López, Brooks, New Action Items 18-0051 Amends sections 15-16 and 15-17 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code to remain in compliance with registered voter population limits in Colorado Revised Statutes by updating precinct boundaries, citywide. A motion offered by Councilmember López, duly seconded by Councilmember Susman, that Council Bill 18-0051 be approved for filing carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Flynn, Clark, Black, Susman, Kniech, López, Brooks Nay: 0 Consent Items Below are four items that were approved on the Committee's consent agenda today. 18-0009 Approves a purchase and sale agreement with Raiatea, LLP for $10,000 for the sale of approximately 11,970 square feet of surplus city-owned vacant land located at approximately East 40th Avenue and Ulster Street in Council District 9 (FINAN-201737898-00). Council Bill 18-0009 was approved by consent. 18-0024 Adds $100,379 and three years to a contract with Journal Technologies, Inc. for a new total of $599,379 through 12-31-20 for maintenance and technical support of software used by the City Attorney’s Office for case management and to send information to the Office of the Public Defender (TECHS-201208070-03). Council Resolution 18-0040 was approved by consent. 18-0052 Adds $1,530,000 to the master purchase order with Traffic Signal Controls, Inc. for a new total of $2,250,000 for traffic signal control heads used for citywide traffic operations including an anticipated increase in energy efficient Light Emitting Diodes (LED) usage and replacement (SC-00002574). Routine, non-controversial ordinance requests that do not involve substantive policy changes are placed on Committee agendas as consent items with the approval of Committee chairs. Council members receive advance notice of consent items and may request that an item be scheduled for Committee discussion instead.
